The Cubs-Orioles game Saturday was delayed by rain, but it was a blessing in disguise for fans at Wrigley Field, who were able to gather in the concourses and watch Jackie Robinson West advance to the Little League World Series final. Chicago rallied to beat Nevada 7-5 and ended the game with a double play in the final inning when Nevada had two men on base.A crowd of several hundred citizens filled the street outside the Chicago Theater and ABC 7’s headquarters, cheering passionately even after the ballgame ended. Kory Begley, a 38-year old Jackie Robinson alum who played with the team back in the 1980s, praised the team’s sportsmanship.
