Congratulations to Mary Mary on their big win at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. Mary Mary (sisters Erica & Tina Campbell) won the Grammy for Best Gospel Song, a songwriters’ award, for their 2012 hit single “Go Get It.” Erica Campbell and her husband/producer Warryn Campbell accepted the award in Tina’s absence.
With tears in her eyes and a huge smile, Erica spoke of the she and her sister’s hard work, first giving honor to God and the Recording Academy stating, “This never gets old and it feels so good to be here so we thank you.” Erica also thanked Mary Mary’s manager Mitch Solarek and her husband Warryn for helping the duo create such an incredible record before allowing him to have a few words of gratitude. Warryn took the time to again thank the Academy as well as dedicate the award and achievement to the groups individual and collective families.
The gospel duo Mary Mary was up for one Grammy this year. Together, the ladies have five prior nominations and three Grammy wins to date. See the complete Gospel & Contemporary Christian Music categories nominee list.
